We provide a two-year warranty from the puppy’s date of birth against any debilitating congenital or hereditary conditions that are life-threatening to your puppy. The cause of death or diagnosis of the condition will have to be certified and recorded by a licensed veterinarian, a body score condition should be in the medical records provided and released to us, by your veterinarian. A necropsy may be required at our discretion. In the event that the puppy has not died and there is an issue, you may be asked to submit radiographs or have the condition verified with a second opinion. In the event the puppy exhibits symptoms of a suspected debilitating congenital or hereditary condition, the owner must immediately inform Breeder and supply any requested veterinary records to Breeder. We will be given the opportunity to take the puppy/dog to a licensed veterinarian of our choice for examination. If all requirements of the health warranty have been met then we agree to replace your puppy with a puppy from a future breeding of similar value.
Exceptions to Health Warranty
We cannot guarantee that your puppy will never become ill or need more than routine veterinary care, and this guarantee does not cover the reimbursement of any veterinary bills associated with this puppy. We cannot guarantee that any puppy/dog will pass OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) clearances. We cannot guarantee the disposition or temperament, conformation, size, weight or breeding ability of your new puppy. We cannot replace your puppy if he/she has not received routine veterinary care including all vaccinations, deworming, heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention. Owner is responsible for having your puppy/dog examined annually by a licensed veterinarian and maintaining all preventive care as recommended by your veterinarian. The health warranty provided does not include any costs associated with spaying and neutering, including that of undescended testicles. We cannot be responsible for a health warranty on a puppy that is overweight.
In screening all of our dogs for breeding, we do our best to only breed dogs that are in excellent health. We do our best to screen all puppies for potential problems and to ensure that they have the best start to life that we can provide. We do not breed any dogs with congenital or hereditary issues, and we will remove any dogs from our breeding program should we learn of any congenital problems that may arrise.
